After your Dean/Department Head or supervisor determines that you need to use the Datatel system, you must fill out an Account Creation form in order to receive security clearance and obtain your Datatel User ID. This form can also be obtained through the Datatel Assistance Desk at (309) 438-2270.
Once you and your Dean/Department Head/supervisor have filled out this form, you should send it to: Shirley Murphy, Uptown Crossing 232 (Campus Box 1200). Questions regarding the completion of this form should be addressed to firstname.lastname@example.org, or Shirley Murphy at (309) 438-7613. Only after receiving your Datatel Account Activation notification should you schedule your Datatel training sessions.
Departments/units or staff members should request the training sessions they want based on their needs and their advancing knowledge of the Datatel system. Occasionally, notices about training sessions will be e-mailed to all staff members with Datatel logons.
All training (with the exception of year-end training) is done on a one-on-one or departmental basis, typically at the employee's workstation.
Please schedule training sessions by e-mailing Steve Chinski at email@example.com or 8-5733. Training attendees must have a Datatel login, so anyone who does not have a Datatel login should complete an Account Creation form prior to scheduling a session.

The Comptroller’s Office has not yet scheduled fiscal year-end voucher training, but will notify users via the COLLUSER listserv.
